FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance. We can generate a bill that you can submit to your insurance if they offer reimbursement.
Insurance companies have many rules and requirements specific to certain plans. It is your responsibility to find out your insurance company's policies and to file for insurance reimbursement. We will be glad to assist you with any questions you may have in this area and to provide you with required receipts to file your claim. We do not file insurance forms directly and we cannot guarantee reimbursement through any insurance company. Please be aware that we are an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies.
WIll the school accept the report from full spectrum?
One of the greatest things about our practice is that our evaluators work or have worked in the school setting, have department of education licenses as well as board of psychology licenses and are extremely familiar with what is required to support services. There will be no question or false hope when you receive the results of the evaluation. The evaluator can give guidance to next steps and if they believe that a child would benefit from any services in the school setting. Typically, schools readily accept our reports. We use assessments familiar to school systems and ask parents if they would like us to include teacher input regarding students. As a disclaimer, the schools are required to CONSIDER our evaluation, however; they are not required to accept it.
Do you assess adults?
YES! We take pride in our extensive evaluations and understand what measures should be used for what ages and how certain differences may look in adulthood. This is a more intense process and often requires a little investigation on your end as well as a very close friend or family member to complete information in addition to your information.
If you plan to use the assessment for accommodations in college, please be sure to check with the college’s accessibility office/department to see what exactly is required. Some places require or prefer certain assessments to provide support.
What is the fee for assessment?
Costs vary based on the service rendered. Consultation is generally $175 per hour. Fees for psychological assessment vary based on prior testing, amount of background review required, and intensity of the assessment. Complete assessments generally range from $1600-$3,000.
Please don’t let the price tag stop you from calling. If there is a way around the fee for service or FSEC can guide you toward a more cost effective approach, they will be happy to do so.
